My name is Lisa Waite. I was born to create, solve problems and build brands through thoughtful creative direction, execution, and evolution. My career started in professional sports as Creative Director for the NBA Seattle SuperSonics. Soon after, the Seattle Storm was established and I was responsible for overseeing all creative and branding for both teams. Upon the move of the Sonics to Oklahoma City, I accepted the challenge to help build the NBA Thunder franchise from the ground up. Shortly thereafter, I was charged to add to this role to lead in building and maintaining the Tulsa 66ers D-League and then the Oklahoma City Blue G-League team branding. My combined experience in professional sports spanned 23 years with

an incredibly diverse portfolio of work – for which I'm very grateful. Upon learning of a Creative Director role at my alma mater, Washington State University, I could not pass up the opportunity to relocate back to my home state and revisit Pullman, my beloved college campus. To provide better perspective, I'm a proud third-generation Coug! In 2018,

I accepted the opportunity to lead the Emerging Media / Creative Services Department at WSU Athletics. This new chapter brought me tremendous joy as well as new, exciting challenges to lead and oversee the department's graphic design, social media and video efforts. It's still hard to believe that I 'found my way back home!' My career in graphic design has given me so much it's difficult to convey in a short bio...I've had tremendous mentors and teammates along my path which have helped shape me to who I am today.
